Condolence: I worked with and for Wally for at least 17 years at CFRB. Wally was the most compassionate person I have ever known and always available when you needed help. With his bright outlook on life Wally was always great to work with and for, and always had your best interests in mind. Wally will be forever missed by those who knew him.

Condolence From: George Grant
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Wally at Rogers Broadcasting back in the early 70's. We were both sales managers but of different stations.
I enjoyed our time together and Wally could charm anyone with that infectious smile.
My best to your family, Wally.
It was good to know you.

Condolence: Steve and the entire Shubat family:

My heart was so heavy when I learned of the passing of your Dad. Over the past few years I could always count on seeing your Dad out for his daily walk and coming into Waterside Retirement Lodge for his daily work out. We shared many stories, some that made us laugh and others that gave us moments of reflection. One of my favorite memories of your Dad; last year I invited him to attend the annual Desotos concert held at Waterside, however, because Mother Nature was not on our side last year, the event had to be held indoors, which meant limited capacity. Your Dad showed up after we had reached capacity and was unable to come in; but as I had personally invited him, I told him that he could come in and enjoy. Respectfully he declined citing that it was his own fault that he was late and he would just have to wait until this year.....Wally I left a space on my dance card just for you! You were the epitome of a gentleman....and you will hold a special place in my heart!

God Bless you all and I hope you find peace in knowing that he no longer suffers........Lorree

Condolence From: Leslie Salmond
Condolence: Dear Steve, Paul and family's
On behalf of the Salmond family, I wanted to express my condolences for the loss of your Dad. We are all so saddened to hear of his passing. Being neighbours for so many years on Charnwood Road, your Dad was a fixture on the sidewalk - be it washing his cars, chatting with neighbours, or just hanging out and enjoying life, we could always count on his presence. I hope you feel some peace in all the wonderful memories you have of him.
Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Peter and Florence, Leslie and Kathryn Salmond
