Dear Bob and Jane and Family: I just read in today's Sun Times that your Mom has died. I have fond memories of enjoying a game of cards with Elgin and Mae at Alice Young's home a number of years ago. I also believe I am right in saying that your Mom was a friend of my husband Bob Perkins mother (Norma Rathwell) when they were young. Unfortunately, I am not able to attend your Mom's visitation or service. I have grandchildren coming from Burlington on Thursday and I have to meet their Dad in Arthur Thursday. My sincere condolences to you and your family! You can take comfort in knowing that your Mom had a long and fulfilling life and while I know you will miss her, hopefully the many wonderful memories of a loving Mom, Mother-in-Law and Grandmother will provide you with comfort in the days ahead.
