Down by the river.

Dearest Susan and Bill, The email I received coincidentally from the editor's son,and our mutual friend, left me with a profound sinking feeling. Believing I could see your Dad again and lay some" Eddy Haskel" on him (compliments he always deserved) "next time I came to Ont." was not to be and filled me with sadness. Your Dad was the most unassuming man I had ever met. He walked around so calm and thoughtful always showing such respect and great love for his wife, not to mention tolerance and acceptance for all others that might happen across his path or by his ample docking space at that beautiful home on the river." Oh sorry Mr. Ironside , Just till tomorrow and it will be gone" , to which he would softly and assuredly say," thats just fine Frank", as Mrs. Ironside kept a watchful and compassionate eye. His consistently great demeanor and amazing example of what one man could accomplish was awe inspiring to me.They were the kind of parents we all hope for and some of us fortunate enough to be guided by. I will never forget you Mr. Bill Ironside Sr. Love and condolences to all the family from Maria and Frank De Lugt.
