Condolence: Please accept our condolences, Diane and families. I was in shock to open my Smiths Falls paper and see Guy's obituary. So sad.
Memories take me back to skating parties at the Crain home North of Maberly when we were kids as well as being on the same school bus to get to high school. Fast forward to the mid 60's when we went to visit your family at Wasaga beach where Guy took us for the grand tour of the area where he worked. Fast forwarding once again approx. 8 years ago when I was volunteering at the Smiths Falls hospital and there he was in the cafeteria. It was like old home week catching up. Certainly not for you Diane as you were anxiously waiting to get the word to get back to your home area.
What a wonderful life you two have shared. Keep your memories close to your heart and he will never be far away until you meet again. I'm sure he will be saving a little piece of heaven just for his special family.

Condolence: Our heart felt condolences to Guy's family. It was an honour to be able to work and play with such an intelligent, honest and compassionate man. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Guy. As a rookie cop at Barrie OPP way back in 1969 he took me under his wing as a friend and mentor. Our paths crossed many times over the years between Barrie, Stayner and Wasaga Beach detachments and he was always the same old "Guy" that deserved the respect that everyone that knew him had for him.
