Skippen, Jean Helene (nee Thompson)
Died suddenly on Sunday July 9, 2017 at her home at the age of 69. Jean of Creemore, formerly of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Larry (2009). Loving mother of Carol and her husband Chris Charlebois. Cherished Grandma of Cole. Dear sister of Jack Thompson and his wife Joan and sister-in-law of Dennis Skippen (the late Wendy) and the late Dianne (the late Ken Kreh). Loving aunt of Tanya and the late Michael Thompson and Lisa and D.J. Skippen and Great Aunt of Samuel, Jessie, Fredrick, Guinevere and Emily. Jean will also be missed by her fellow Eastern Star members, Lady Shriner’s, her former choir colleagues, friends, neighbours and her beloved cats. Jean was a loving and selfless woman who cherished her family and her friends. She had a passion for music and spent many years singing in the choir at Centennial United Church. She gave of her time with the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Shrine. She will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday July 13, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. for the Easter Star Ceremony at 3 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel.
