My lifelong friend.

Bob and I first met in 1963. We were class mates(GR 7) at Dalewood School in West Hamilton. Bob was always interested in all things mechanical which in turn started him into his career as a millwright at STELCO Hilton works. There was nothing that Bob couldn't fix or repair. I suppose he got these skills from his Dad(Jeff Low) who had all manners of machinery, cars, snowmobiles, motorbikes. mini-cars and who even converted a house trailer into a motorhome which I believe Bob first took to Wasaga Beach in the early 80's. I remember I had a van that was not running very well. Bob took the cover off the engine and in no time at all had it running perfectly. Bob loved to drive his Dad's Bond Mini-Car around the Hydro field behind their house on Ewen Rd. in West Hamilton. One time, while driving it around with his neighbour Janice in the front seat, she was inadvertantly waving a large rubarb leaf in his face sort of joking around. This blocked Bob's view and they promptly smashed into a tree. No problem. Bob and his Dad had it repaired in no time at all. Bob still has the Mini-Car and even took my Father-in-Law and I for a ride in at Wasaga one year. Bob's love of his life was of course Lynda, whom he spent many happy years with always entertaining all their friends at Wasaga. We were always welcome when we dropped by. Thanks for all the great memories Bob. The lifetime friends you introduced me too and all the crazy times we had in our youth. See you on the other side my friend. Love and hugs to you Lynda from Laurie and I.
