We met in Germany in 1963 while posted there with PPCLI. Serena and I worked at the bank on base and my now deceased husband Helmut and Wes were both corporals. The friendship has lasted all those years, the type of friendship that always felt comfortable even when many miles separated us over the years. Wes was always helpful and accepting of everyone. He will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace dear man!
