Suddenly on Tuesday December 24, 2013 in Stayner at the age of 42. Stephen of London, Ontario, loved and loving son of Wendy and the late Frank Jeffries. Dear big brother of Kevin. Stephen will be missed by his aunts and uncles: Bill and Fikret, Judy and Jim, Pat, Rick and Sylvie, David and Jennifer, Diane and Des, Ken and Tina, Jim and Lynne, Allan and Louisa and Brian and Valerie and by his many cousins, particularly Kathleen and Christopher. Stephen will also be missed by his special friend Jennifer, her parents Anne and Brian Souter and her grandmother Isabel Manser. Stephen was an employee of General Dynamics and a treasured volunteer at Parkwood Hospital with families on 5B and 2 Perth. He loved the cottage on Little Whitefish where he enjoyed hiking, swimming, canoeing, photography and puttering. He was a “pied piper” to any child at the cottage and following in his father’s footsteps he also “advised” our wonderful cottage neighbours. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Monday December 30, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Monday December 30, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Veterans Care Fund, Parkwood Hospital, Room B2131, 801 Commissioners Road East, London, Ontario N6C 5J1 would be appreciated by Stephen’s family.
