My friend Albert

I would like to tell you how lucky I am to have met Albert Edstrom. I met him through his brother Pat and it didn't take long to see what a fine man he was and before long he became family to me. I watched him go through lonely hurt times that almost broke my heart. I saw him as a hard working man and I could identify with that as I came from the same background. He never gave up. He told me as long as he knew he had a job to do each morning he loved to get up. I watched as he worked on that driveway that would be hard for a younger man but he took pride in it and got it done and it's a credit to him. I visited Albert often alone and with Pat. He would tell me stories about MOM and the family and I would hear the love and pride in his voice for you all. Everytime I drove by I liked to see what he was up to and sometimes I would have to look for him as he be down in a hole or under bushes but always at something. I still drive by Pearce Ave. and miss him there and I had to go by the day of the funeral knowing I would see him there no more and I felt lonely for my friend Albert. My condolences to all the family and I want his grandchildren to know what a great man he was. Rest in Peace Albert and it was an honor to have known you. Jean McGrath
