Died peacefully on Thursday May 9, 2019 at Sunset Manor, Collingwood in his 96th year. Norman, beloved husband of the late Gladys for over 63 years (2009). Loving father of David (Gail), Steven (Isabel) and Debbie Medway-Welch. Cherished grandfather of Lori (Patrick Keightley), Michael (Cristin) Lounds, Sharon (Jeff Dyxhoorn), Julie Cotter, Ashley Lounds, Brandon (Amber) Lounds, Nickolaus (Alicia) Martin and Timothy (Dana) Medway-Welch and great grandfather to nine great grandchildren and to a great great grandson. Dear brother of Jean (Jim Whitten), Della Thompson and the late Amy Davidson and the late Jack Lounds. Norman is predeceased by his long time friend Edna McLean. Norman was a kind man who enjoyed his family and friends. He served his country with distinction. He will be missed. His family would like to thank the staff of Sunset Manor C2 for all their care and kindness over the years and for helping our family so much over the last few days. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
