Died peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood surrounded by his loving family at the age of 71. Bob of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Alexis for over 44 years. Loving father of Rob (Melanie née: Brown), Alysha (Joe Pittari) and Rychelle (Dustin Vass). Cherished Nonno of Isabella, Jianna, Sienna and Parker. Dear brother of Ray (Ellie), his late brother Anthony and brother-in-law of Albert Brown. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Vera Stoangi. Bob will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his many friends. Bob was a true family man who cherished his family deeply. He loved Alexis’ cooking, spending time with his canine companions Daytona, Lola, Odie and Goliath. He enjoyed both watching and coaching hockey for many years. He will be deeply missed by his family and his community. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Friday, April 12 at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow at the Wasaga Stars Arena Auditorium. Spring interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for “The Stoangi Team” participating in the Hike for Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
