Passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2019 at his home with his loving wife by his side at the age of 80. George of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Phyllis for over 54 years. Loving father of Kelly-Jay of Barrie, Troy and his wife Karen of Goulais River and Carrie of Sault Ste Marie. Cherished grandfather of Casey, Corey, Kyle (Brianne) and Melissa (Ryan) with a great grandchild on the way. George is survived by a sister Betty Coveyduck, his many nieces and nephews and by Phyllis’ extended family. He is predeceased by his parents Bert and Ella Conforzi, also by his siblings Christina, Antoinette, James and Lawrence. George was a kind man who had a deep interest in history, the theatre and games of skill such as chess, golf and cards. He will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday April 26, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 27, 2019 at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow. Interment Prospect Cemetery, Toronto. If desired, a donation to the World Wildlife Fund or Paws Canada would be appreciated by his family.
