Died peacefully on Thursday February 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 79. Cam of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Aurora, beloved husband of Carol for over 56 years. Loving father of Chris and his wife Darina, Greg and his wife Kim and Don and his wife Cindy. Cherished grandfather of Kathryn (Mark), Samantha (P.O.), Gregory (Colleen) and William and to great grandchildren Allison, Katelyn and Jade. Cam is also survived by his sister Mary Jean Merry, brother-in-law Robert Carter and his wife Nancy, nephews Michael and John Merry and Jared Carter and niece Jennifer Carter. Cam was a kind man who loved his family deeply. He had varied interests to which he committed himself fully such as his extensive genealogical studies and his model railroading and model car collections. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Monday February 18, 2019 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday February 19, 2019 in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 noon. Reception to follow. Interment Alliston Union Cemetery.
