Bannerman, Franklin Dale
passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Creedan Valley Care Centre in Creemore. Dale of Stayner, in his 86th year. Loved brother of the late Faye (Jerry), Valarie (Jim), the late Wayne (the late Evelyn) (Sheila) and Bob (Kris). Proud uncle of Karen, Laurie (Mike), the late Lisa, Terri (Matthew), Kim (Brad), the late Fonda, Kathy (Martin), Martha (Andy), Matt (Freya), Shayne (Miah), Keith (Holly), Jeremy, Drew (Stephanie), Jenna (Jeremy). Great uncle to 22 and great-great uncle to one. Dale was predeceased by his parents Horace and Betty Bannerman. He was a quiet, hardworking man who enjoyed farming, the outdoors, studying nature, long walks and photography. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26 on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from noon until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nursing and care staff of Creedan Valley Care Centre for the care given to Dale. If desired, donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
