Conn, Bertha Elizabeth “Betty” (Nee Ottewell)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty on Thursday May 24, 2018 at the Stayner Care Centre with family by her side in her 92nd year. Betty of Stayner, beloved wife of the late James Conn. Left with memories to treasure are her three sons: Chalmer (Wendy), Paul (Lonnie) and Greg (Peggy). Cherished grandmother of Cheryl (Dave), Christy (Ryan), Carolyn (Jon), Chris, Curtis and Craig (Angela) and proud great grandmother of 8. She was predeceased by all of her siblings and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Margaret. Betty enjoyed a long teaching career and was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Stayner. Special thanks to the staff of the Stayner care Centre and the staff of the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood for their support and compassionate care. Friends will be received at the First Baptist Church, 205 Oak Street, Stayner on Monday May 28, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed immediately by the Funeral Service. Reception to follow. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Memoriam donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Stayner, the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation or the charity of your choice.
