Died suddenly yet peacefully on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 91. Elena of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Henry Kanschat (2007). Loving mother of John Muirhead and his wife Roz, Stephen Muirhead and his wife Jane and Christopher Muirhead. Cherished Grandmother of John Luke, Tom, Kyle and Hannah. Elena is also survived by her sister Alma Budrekas. She was a kind and caring woman who cherished her family. She will be missed. Friends will be received at the the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 1 p.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 o'clock. Interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. If desired, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by Elena’s family.
