Died peacefully on Saturday June 24, 2017 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 88. Ursula of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Toronto, beloved wife of the late Kurt. Loving mother of Bärbel Strodthoff and the late Sylvia Loebel. Cherished Omi of Andy Strodthoff (Christy), Rosie (Rob Collins) and Nick Schreiner and Great Omi of Alexandra, Grace, Savannah, Katie and Sarah. Ursula is predeceased by her sisters Ruth Kätner and Herta Dirsuweit and her parents Oscar and Helene Dirsuweit. She was a 30 year employee of General Motors, working at the Golden Mile plant. Ursula was a kind and generous woman who made friends easily. She enjoyed travel, bingo, visits to the casino, the latest fashions and shopping for them and had a sweet tooth especially for ice cream. She spent many years cottaging on Rice Lake which created many cherished family memories. Ursula deeply cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 6 p.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 7 o’clock. Reception to follow. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery Friday June 30, 2017 at 11 a.m..
