Died peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie the week before her 87th birthday, surrounded by family. Dorothy of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Kiernan (2014). Loving mother of Steven (Dawn), Catherine, and David (Erin). Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Tim), Kyle (Liz), Lindsay (Tyler), Lucas (Brooke), Aaron (Nara), Hannah, and Ryan. Great Grandmother of Willow, Avalon, Wylder, and Hayden. Dorothy will also be missed by her neighbours and friends. Dorothy found great joy in being a member of the Prime Time Singers and the Wasaga Sunbirds Probus Club for many years and as an active member of her church - Wasaga Beach United Church - for more than 20 years. The family would like to thank the Wasaga Beach community for the love and joy Dorothy experienced during the last chapter of her life. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 at the Wasaga Beach United Church at 1 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Wasaga Beach United Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated by Dorothy’s family.
