Condolence: Respectful condolences to Jim's family and friends who loved him. Cherished memories of high school days when Jim and I first met. A shared love of music, èspecially the blues. Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to Jessie, Sadie, Tom and family. I am heartbroken to hear of Jim’s passing. Jim and I went to high school together, him dating and ultimately marrying one of my best friends, Lee. We grew up in the 70s and had a very close, wonderful group of friends. I’m sure Jim is responsible for instilling the love of music and particularly, the Blues, in my heart, and for this I am forever grateful. We recently moved back to Wasaga Beach, Ontario, after 40 years out West, and were excited to find Jim was our neighbour, 15 minutes down the road, in Stayner. I am lucky to have bonded with Jim once again and will continue to remember his smile, his laugh and music. God bless, my friend. Chuck and I will miss you.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Jim's family during this very sad time.I have many memories of Jim and his family when we lived in Bramalea. He was a good friend of my son,Bryan , as well as my daughters . They attended the same schools and the same church. His love of music must have been inherited from his dad, because I remember Mr.Robertson singing solos at St.Paul's Pres. church in Bramalea.May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Condolence: It is with a heavy heart that I say Good-bye to my dear friend, Jim. He fought the battle against the evil poison like a WARRIOR... with Dignity, Pride and Grace, the same way he lived his life. I am thankful and honoured to have shared our time together. I will carry his charm and smile with me always. "You no longer have to fight, now you can Rest... in Peace." Love from Your Friend XO

Condolence: I first met Jim as being fellow residents of Bramalea's D section and in school at Bramalea Secondary. Both our parents had come across the seas from UK and we were both looking for some fun and laughs as young men growing up. From sharing days skipped off school to listening to great live music with Jim and his brother Tom and their amazing talents and Gibsons music was a common thread in our lives. We literally grew up together sharing mornings, evenings and many nights partying and doing those crazy things young men do. Memories include; Our first summer jobs for capital Records at $1.90 and hour, lol, we were so proud. Dinners at Eastbourne plaza's Vega restaurant. Trips to Earl Rowe Provincial park. We raised some h*ll but did some growing to. Lots and lots of music, The Winter brothers, blues, rock, Lighthouse, Guess Who. High School friends, Lee, Laurie Liisa, Bryan...so many great memories and people... parties in Palgrave, the A section. Some scraps with Jim's parents who wanted a more serious attitude but Jim loved them dearly. As times went by we drifted apart as our different directions took us different places yet we would keep in touch from time to time. Lately through music again we connected at Grossman's on Spadina and then again at the Collingwood Blues Festival. Jim always had a smile but there was pain of the experiences of life behind the eyes as well. The joy of seeing his facebook posts of his daughter Jes and her daughter Sadie brought a special joy to his heart and he had an opportunity to build some happiness in his heart as the girls truly touched him in special ways. Jim had a great heart, loved his music and his friends....he will be missed by many and very much by me. God speed Jim, be at peace and rest now, with your parents and friends (Liisa and Shea so recently) and smile at us from above.

Condolence: Jim seemed a quiet and gruff man, but he could always manage a smile and a joke when you least expected it. I knew him as an acquaintance for nearly 20 years. He was very proud of his daughter and grand-daughter, showing me pictures when I saw him and there was always a softness and pure happiness in his eyes when he spoke of Jessie and Sadie. My deepest sympathies to you. Jessie, always talk about Jim as Sadie grows up. She will have these stories to remember in the absence of the man who loved her. Take care and let us know if there is anything we can do. April
