Died peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood in his 90th year. Neal of Stayner, beloved husband of the late Joan (2013). Loving father of Barry, Daniel (Robyn) and James. Cherished grandfather of Naomi and Meagan. Neal is also survived by his sisters Mary (Dick Prosser), Helen (Claydon Plater) and Peggy (David Wilson) and his nieces and nephews. Neal was the long time proprietor of Brown’s Meat Market in downtown Stayner; he was a charter member of the Stayner Granite Club and a dedicated member of the Stayner Fire Department. Neal enjoyed golf, curling and he loved the Toronto Blue Jays, never missing a game. He will be missed . Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow.
