So sorry for your loss. The thought that she is no longer in pain and suffering shall be a comfort to you in the future - Nothing comforts now.
It is a far, far better thing that she does, than she has ever done, it is a far, far better resting place that she goes to than she has ever known! One of my favorite quotes with a slight twist. I think it is most befitting at times like this. I like to think of this, her final voyage as a better place for her.

I was so sad to hear about Gerda but it is nice to think she is in heaven feeling great with the love of her life! She will truly be missed. She was a special lady with a great big heart! I will always remember her for her kind, encouraging words, big kisses, love of animals and love of glitz and glamour! She will remain forever in my heart! Thinking of you all at this time.
