Martin, Frances Lucille
Died peacefully on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at the Stayner Care Centre, surrounded by her family at the age of 91. Frances of Stayner, formerly of Bracebridge, beloved wife of Bill Martin for 66 years. Loving mother of Ann (John Garback), Michael (the late Lorraine), Laurel Martin (Jody Fletcher), George (Jeannine), Brenda Martin and Peggy Martin (Fred Pifer). Cherished Grandma of Justin (Rosa) Garback, Shawn (Ellie) LeBlanc, Zachary and Jason Pifer, Thomas, Stephanie and Leah Martin and Madeline (Alex Pitters) and great grandmother to Raffaele, Luka and Ares. Frances is predeceased by her sisters Dorothy and Mary and her brothers Frank and Joseph. She is survived by brother-in-law Robert (Edith) Martin and her many nieces and nephews. Frances was a kind and loving woman with a constant smile and offers of hugs and back rubs. She was always listening to the radio, enjoying music of all genres. Her talents for knitting and hand crafts have created many cherished family keepsakes. She will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home –Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday August 11, 2017 from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.. The Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 215 Pine Street, Stayner at 12 Noon. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Cremation with interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
