Schaly, Hendrika Francina “Henny”
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is gone to her heavenly home to be with her saviour Jesus Christ. Henny died on Friday June 23, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 77. Henny of New Lowell, beloved wife for over 57 years of Bert Schaly. Loving mother of Wally (Deanna), Frank (Sigrid), Albert (Bonita) and Cynthia Retford. Cherished grandmother of Nathan (Jen), Nicholas (Alanna), Sarah, Lisa, Sabrina, Alissa, Michaela, Kyle, Cody and Nick. Dear sister of Hank Nyhof (Gertie), Carrie Ploeg, Willem Nyhof (Janice), the late Rose Verschuur, the late Willy Nyhof and the late George Nyhof. Dear sister-in-law of Hank Schaly (Henny), Lynn (Tom Grasmeyer), Arie Schaly (Joyce), Tys Schaly (Eleanor), John Schaly (Helen) and Alida (John Eisses). Henny will also be missed by Clarence McGillivary, her many nieces and nephews and her many neighbours and dear friends. Henny was a peaceful woman who enjoyed her gardens, her church community and held a deep love for her family. She held a lifetime commitment to helping those in need and volunteering in her community. She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Sunday June 25, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Monday June 26, 2017 at 11 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow. If desired, donations to St. James Anglican Church, Mulmur or SIM ECWA Widow’s Training School Mission would be appreciated by Henny’s family.
