Died suddenly on Friday March 31, 2017 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in his 80th year. Al of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Judy for over 40 years. Loving father of Mary (Wayne Stokes), Albert Jr., Angela Boyd, Shawn (Ruth), Brenda Giovanatto and Greg (Denise Williams). Cherished grandfather of Colin (Jessica), Kurtt (Vanessa), Earl, Brock, Crystal, Lisa, Jerry, Joshua, Sydny and Eric. Dear brother of Leona (Roy Bateman), Flo (Roy Soltes), John (Rae), the late Denny (Brenda) and Carol (Jerry Ruttan) and brother-in-law of Jane DeHaan (Robert Boucher). Al will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, neighbours and his many friends. Al was larger than life. He was easy to befriend and became a friend to many. He loved the peacefulness of working with wood to create a treasured keepsake and the tranquility of being on the water in his boat, fishing rod in hand. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Wasaga Beach United Church, 380 Zoo Park Road, Wasaga Beach on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. for the Memorial Service at 2 o’clock. Reception to follow.
