Died peacefully on Monday December 19, 2016 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 89. Neil of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Betty (nee Hill) for over 64 years. Loving father of Jerry. Dear brother of May Wakelin and Leonard and his wife Eldean. Neil will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Neil was a skilled craftsman who loved to work with wood. He was a fun loving man and made friends wherever he went. Betty and Neil enjoyed over 34 years in Wasaga Beach, enjoyed the friendships and card playing at the 412 Club and wintering in Florida. He will be missed. A graveside ceremony will be held at the Wasaga Beach Cemetery on Thursday May 25, 2017 at 2 o’clock. Reception to follow at Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel.
