Died peacefully on Saturday October 8, 2016 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 60. Rick of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Caledon, loving son of the late Bob and the late Margaret van Manen. Much loved brother of Truusje and her husband Greg Mitchell and Ronald van Manen. Cherished uncle of Rob, Kristen, the late Scott, Tabitha (Steve), Haley (Justin), Nicole (Tyler) and Kendra and great uncle of Braden, Madeleine, Logan, Ryder, the late Kevin, Tyler, Shawnee, Jarrett, Ryan and Kylie. Rick lived life with a pure heart and mind. He was always happy and smiling. His family meant everything to him. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel on Saturday October 15, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a memorial gathering to celebrate his life.
