Died peacefully on Saturday May 21, 2016 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 84. Murray of Glen Huron, beloved husband of Mary (nee Dwinnell) for almost 58 years. Loving father of Bonnie Ferguson, Marilyn (Phillip Seymour), Helen Allen and Ross Ferguson. Cherished grandfather of Erika (T.J. Sharer), Holly, Karla (Allan Thurman), Stephanie (Fred North), Cassandra and Jamie and to great grandchildren Porschea, Duke and Isaac. Murray is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Susan Ferguson and siblings Dorothy Fisher, Thelma Ferguson, Marion DeBoard, Harvey Ferguson and Frank Ferguson. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Murray was a lifelong farmer, living on the family farm on the 8th Concession his entire life. He had a long career with the Township of Nottawasaga Roads department as well. Murray was a gentle man with old fashioned values. He loved his family and his community. He will be greatly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Wednesday May 25, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery.
