Ivison; Thomas (Veteran WWII, RBN)

Passed away peacefully on Saturday September 13, 2008 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood with his family by his side at the age of 85. Tom, beloved husband of the late Ellen (1975). Loving father of Thomas (Joan), Pam Hachey, Joan (Ronald Hayashi), Heather (Don Shultz) and Jill (Stewart Gulley). Dear granddad of 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Joan Horner. Thomas will be missed by his friend Julia Adriaenssen and his Border Collie Bingo. Tom was a memeber of the Royal Canadian Legion. He served with Captain Walker's Second Escort Group in the North Atlantic on Convoy Duty. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner (705-428-2637) on Tuesday September 16, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday September 17, 2008 at 1 o'clock. Interment Angus Union Cemetery. If desired, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
