Armstrong, Doreen Virginia

Died peacefully on Sunday January 11, 2015 At the Collingwood Nursing Home in her 83rd year. Doreen of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of Brien Armstrong for over 56 years. Dear sister of Harry Leary (Pearl) and Joseph Leary (Jean). Dear sister-in-law of Tom Armstrong (Isabel) and Betty Dunwoody. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Doreen and Brien meet and fell in love in Northern Ireland. They emigrated to Canada in 1964 and eventually retired to Wasaga Beach. She was a kind women and she will be missed dearly. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel on Tuesday January 13, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 1 o'clock. Reception to follow. Spring interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. If desired, remembrances to the Alzheimer's Society or the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated by Brien.
