Oostyen, Jacob (Jack)

Died suddenly on Friday July 11, 2014 at his home in his 90th year. Jack of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of the late Aaltje (Aly). Loving father of John (Debbie), the late Albert and Nancy (Dave Jellicoe). Cherished Opa of Jennifer Oostyen and Chris and Terry Jellicoe and great grandfather of Hailey, Piper and Danger. Dear companion of Maria Schank. Jack is survived by sisters Bertha Dijksma and Sien Van Tzand. Predeceased by sister Fem Klomp-Oostijen and brothers John Oostyen and Reint Oostijen. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family, mainly in the Netherlands. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home - Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Monday July 14, 2014 from 7 to 9p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 1 o’clock. Interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. Reception to follow. If desired, remembrances to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by Jack’s family.
