Jones, Margaret Jane

Peacefully and unexpectedly on Saturday December 21, 2013 at Sunset Manor, Collingwood in her 82nd year. Jane of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Harvey Jones (2012). Loving mother of Mary Jane Guthro, the late John, Bruce and his wife Patti and Heather and her husband Murray Hartrick. Cherished grandmother of Emily, Matthew, Michael, Lee, Megan, Kayla, Alberta and Emma. Dear sister of the late Bill Bell and his wife Jeannette and Carol Lynne and her husband Larry Smilsky. Jane will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was an active member of her community with her church, Wasaga Beach Community Presbyterian Church, her club, Wasaga Beach Art Club and her fraternity, The Order of the Eastern Star. Her passion was her family and the arts – as a languages teacher, fine artist, world traveller and as a fierce competitor whilst beating her grandchildren at crokinole. Everyone will miss her wonderful sense of humour and her sharp wit. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach (East of Zoo Park) on Saturday December 28, 2013 from 12 noon for the Funeral Service at 1 o’clock.
